Event Description
Upcoming Meeting – Staverton Parish Neighbourhood Plan
There will be a Neighbourhood Plan Briefing Meeting for parish councillors and interested parishioners on Wednesday Dec 9th at the Victory Hall, Landscove from 6 – 8pm. The theme of the meeting will be ‘Does Staverton Parish need a Neighbourhood Plan – and what is involved?’
There will be short presentations by Tom Bristow, who has led the Local Plan implementation team in Government for the last three years, and Bridget Green from SHDC Strategic Planning Dept. These will be followed by a question and answer session.
This meeting is the first step in getting councillors and parishioners informed about the pros and cons of developing a Neighbourhood Plan and we are particularly fortunate to have Tom Bristow from central government available to answer our questions.
Fully engaging the community in the consultation process is a keystone of the Neighbourhood Planning process and that engagement starts with this meeting, so parishioners are encouraged to come and take an active part. But no decisions on whether or not to proceed with a plan will be taken at this meeting – it is for information only.
