New Parish Clerk needed

Our Parish Clerk is, sadly, moving on to a full-time post. We need an organised, independent and adaptable individual to work from home and attend monthly Wednesday evening meetings as Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to the Parish Council.

Staverton Parish Council is a pro-active and friendly Council covering Staverton and Landscove villages and the surrounding area. The role is busy, but varied and interesting. Good IT skills are important and minute taking is essential.

Other skills such as writing funding bids, knowledge of the planning system and experience in dealing with correspondence would be a great advantage, although there will be training courses available to help with any skills gaps for the right applicant. The applicant should be prepared to study for the industry qualification, the CiLCA or already hold this qualification.

The post is for ten hours per week. Salary is paid at NALC SLCC rate and will depend on qualifications and experience, with an additional allowance to cover home working costs. IT equipment such as a new laptop and printer will be provided.
