At Staverton we focus on the needs, interests and development level of the individual and combine these with group interests.
We seek to develop the whole child by understanding his/her needs, abilities and development level and providing an individual program to assist in his/her reaching their potential.
We always hope to provide an atmosphere which is warm, caring and stimulating and one in which the child will think and plan for activities creatively.
The teaching staff and their assistants promote and practice positive interaction with children and adults alike. Teachers model appropriate behaviour and support children in their interactions with each through positive guidance and through teaching strategies.
Our program is based on individual and group needs and interests. Within this program we encourage children to be independent, to use their initiative and to be responsible as individuals and as part of a group.
